it's nothing fancy, but it's what we've got.
so let's add a few more paragraphs, including a long one like this one -- one that goes on for more than one line -- so we can see how that all works. you see you need to put in your own line-breaks at present. that's just the way it is right now. maybe sometime later i'll build a line-break routine. but not now.
